A little while back, we kinda had a living room show in Pittsburgh. Kyle played
a place called the Quiet Storm, who's main room is about the size of a living
room. For a while, it kinda looked like it was gonna be my own private concert,
but a few people actually did show up, and a great time was had by all.

If Kyle was bummed because of the small turnout, he sure didn't show it in his
performace. He even said at one point that sometimes it's kinda nice to relax
and play for just a few folks. Poor guy almost fell off the chair when I shouted
out a request for "Just A Matter Of Time."

Just for fun, Chicago, ask him to play "The Supermarket Song!"

The Quiet Storm is trying its best to bring different kinds of music to town,
but - sadly - its location may be part of the problem. The place is literally on
the border of two of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Pittsburgh. Most of the
people I called to meet me at the show didn't want to go anywhere near the place.

For what it's worth, the "locals" haven't bothered anybody at any of the shows
I've gone to, but trying to explain that to friends just seems to fall on deaf
ears. Both Kyle and the Marsland kid did some great shows there, and it's a
shame I'm the only 'burgh Auditeer that saw them...
