Dave,
You have made my morning-by bringing back the memory.I was there-I never
miss."Party in my Head",the opening song.is still whirring in my brain. It
was rocking hard. And there is nothing like that first time in the show when
Terry sits down and attacks the upright piano. All those complex "Monk"
chords. And when he starts playing with his elbows ,you know you are in the
prescence of greatness.Juat watching Terry all night can make you
dizzy. However Johnny just burns on guitar,Joey sings so sweetly, and Tommy is
one hell of a drummer.Amd the smiles on their faces as they look at each
other ,knowing how great they sound. They tour constantly ,but are still
amazed at each other's chops.
Terry sang a brand new song-"Imaginary Radio"-a beautiful ditty in which he
imagines Sun Ra is number one-they can play whatever they want-and the news
was Bush is thrown out of office.Oh ,and they play Beatles all the time as
well.Great stuff!
All in all ,a fun rocking evening.Just wave back when they wave at
you.The Q rule.
