-- On the other hand, your attempt to defend your original comment is as
well-directed as a Condi Rice think piece. Since what she wrote fell within
the penumbra of sexual politics, it allowed you to make a comment on other
political issues, which, as written, made it seem like she didn't care about
issues you deem weightier? This is akin to the 9/11 hearings -- when
Richard Clarke was testifying, he was asked why he didn't make all these
comments about Iraq in his testimony at a prior hearing -- the implication
being that he was telling a different story. His reply -- no one asked me
about the Iraq war at the last hearing.
