following up on shoshana price's praise of the Living End's new album Modern
ARTillery:

To my ears the Living End merges "Give Em Enough Rope" era clash with Green
Day. They write some great hooks and every album is good for at least a few
sing-alongs that stay with me all day. The new album (their fifth) is great
and I'd be surprised if it doesn't end up in my year end top 10. This album
is their most consistent, but there isn't a single song as great as
"Prisoner of Society" or "West End Riot" from their self titled American
debut from 1998.

The band is currently on the Australian Rock tour with Jet and the Vines.
One thing that separates them from the crowd is that they use a stand up
bass.
