Has anyone else checked out the new CD by The Living
End, called Modern Artillery?
It caught my eye while I was passing by a listening
booth last night, and it's really good!
Power pop with a little bit of 60s spirit, a bit of
punk-pop attitude, strong lead vocals (one of those
voices that's not exactly what you'd call great, but
he puts so much emotion into his singing that his
voice seems better than it actually is), and nice
backup harmonies.
If you like The Waking Hours or Snow Dogs, you'll
probably like these guys too.
(Apparently they've been around for a while, since
thier website shows two other CDs that came out before
this one, but I haven't seen anything posted about
them previously, so I figured I'd spread the word,
just in case I'm not the only one on this list to whom
these guys are a cool new find.)
