My take on TAXI is that...

If they are asking for money up-front, they are probably not working on your
best interests as an artist...and are out to make a quick buck. Not that
it's a "scam" per se, but in the DIY biz you're probably better off finding
people who really believe in promoting you *first*. That being said, other
a&r promotion companies to really watch out for include Talent 2K, 97Radio
and AlternativeSpin. Check 'em all out on the web; do your research...and
don't jump into anything blindly. All these companies prey on hungry artists
with stars in their eyes....
