The DJ was the late "Mad Mike" Metrovich. The bootlegger was a gent named Ernie
Kashouer (sp?) who also ran a label called Red Fox. Ernie released a lot of
"Pittsburgh Hits" on a lot of shady labels. He also put money into local bands
of the 60's, such as the Fantastic DeeJays and their later incarnation, The
Swamp Rats.
Denny Nicholson of the DeeJays told me once that Ernie was "the money man" and
that he bought the DeeJays the wall of VOX Super Beatle amps theu had later in
their career.
Ernie was eventually sent to jail - not for bootlegging records, but for selling
stolen beauty aids at a flea market!
