IIRC, it's about the gangs in Glasgow, Scotland, one of which was called
"The 68 Guns".

My 5 year old son has been singing it since the VH1 special on the Alarm
aired last month. My wife was a Little concerned about its meaning and a
Little boy singing about guns in kindergarten class. My explanation about
the oppression of the Irish didn't float with her.
