Hi all,
This is NOT a power pop artist but I thought I'd let you all know
just in case of any Greg Brown fans or anyone wanting to check out
something different. Brown has a deep, expressive voice and is a
brilliant singer, songwriter who puts on great shows. One of the
best around (IMO). His style of music is more folk, country, blues
and such. He is a great story teller in concert and great lyricist.
An example of Brown's character is that he can easy fill the
Guthrie Theatre here in Minneapolis but tends to enjoy playing
smaller more intimate back road settings, and thus, that is where he
tends to play.
If you don't know him, please know that he often gets rave
reviews in various music magazines across the country. He has stayed
on a independent label (Red House Records) for his entire career per
his desire for artistic autonomy. A good thing! Check him out at
allmusic.com if your curious.
The tour is listed on pollstar and it's starts in OH but hits both
costs. I've rarely seen him tour the country this extensively so my
advise....take a chance, if this might appeal to you. :)

Best, Steve D
