Some of my personal favorites, a little more "obscure"
that the "well known" classical favorites, perhaps, but
nonetheless these are a few recordings I enjoy (most
from the Romantic era):

Antonin Dvorák - Symphony No. 6 in D major
(my favorite "rainy day" classical piece)

Franz Schubert - Quintet for 2 violins, viola & 2
cellos in C major, D. 956

Ludwig van Beethoven - Piano Trio in D major
("Ghost") Op. 70/1

Beethoven's "late quartets" -- esp. String Quartet No. 15
in A minor ("Heiliger Dankgesang"), Op. 132

Robert Schumann - Waldszenen (Forest Scenes), for
piano, Op. 82

Felix Mendelssohn - Songs Without Words
