An interesting intersection of pop music and classical music is Phillip
Glass' Songs from Liquid Days. It has Linda Ronstadt singing a Phillip
Glass Pop Song backed by the Roches. The Roches on a solo number.
Several Broadway and Opera types lend their voices to music by Glass and
lyrics by Paul Simon and David Byrne, among others. I have always enjoyed
this release, however it may not be every pop fan's cup of tea. These
are not exactly 3 minute songs about love.
Fer sure. Tom
