> do yourself a favor tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon, by tuning to 89.3 FM (WPGC?) and checking out a DJ named Andrea Bray. I'm not sure about the time, but I think her show runs from 2 to 6 pm or so. She plays fantastic *SOUL* music

I tried to tune in today at 2:30 pm, and found this show wasn't on yet, and it's actually WPFW. Per the website, the Andrea Bray Show runs from 4 to 6 pm. Really good music.

Hearing some people reflect on the "good ol' days" when they would enjoy listening to WHFS reminds me of growing up on Long Island. We could listen to WLIR/WDRE, the premier "new music" (i.e., alternative, before the term was coined) station, as well as rock stations like WPLJ and WNEW from NYC, WRCN on Long Island, and the very cool WPLR from across the way in Connecticut. These day, it all pretty much sucks no matter where I tune.

Oh yeah, one exception... WRNR (103.1) out of Annapolis, MD. I don't go to that station often, and it's a bit more "rootsy" than I'd like, but it's usually playing something decent when I tune in. They could use a stronger signal. Anyone else enjoy that station?

Be seeing you,
Bill
