Hey David, if you really want this on CD, I can give you a band
member's email address! You gotta wonder, though, how many CDs of
something like this could actually be sold. And even if the master
tapes still exist, who knows what condition they are in. I'm still
wondering what happened to the release of the Wigs LP. It seems like
years ago that they said they were going to try and create a CD
version of it, but the tapes were in rough (and bad format) condition.
I even heard that Clovis Roblaine was going to try and release his LP
on CD a long time ago, haven't heard much since. That one is on the
top of my list, not because it's the one I like best, but because the
sound on the LP is so thin, that it would probably benefit the most
from a relase from master tapes.
On the other hand, besides the Charlie Fawn LP, I think the best LP
that could be reissued (based on music quality alone) is the Act's
"Too Lately at 20". However I would not be dissapointed if it never
saw a CD release, because the LP has a really hot sound, so my CDR
version sounds great. In fact, I might not like a real CD version,
because I went to the trouble of manually suppressing some of the
overly loud drum beats on some of the songs of that LP, in an attempt
to emphasize the great guitar sound. So my copy has a more of a
power pop sound rather than a new wave sound.

If you haven't already, you can go to http://www.thejudys.com,
and read and talk to people about why most of their stuff (except for
their last LP) has never been reissued (read the FAQ).
