hey everyone,
for lo-fi greatness check out their ALIEN LANES album
for hi-fi greatness check out their ISOLATION DRILLS album
once ya fall in love with those there are literally 100 different turns you
could make in the GUIDED BY VOICES back catalogue.
... and if you truly become a hardcore GBVer, you'll end up buying their
back-catalog box sets, *Box* and *Suitcase* -- both of which contain about a
thousand ninety-second songs apiece, some of which are quite cool.
*Box* and *Suitcase* are interesting artifacts, from a mental-focus point of
view, because each is a sort of massive, extended-listening opus that's
ironically suited to those who have short attention spans.

(whose favorite GBV song is actually a Robert Pollard solo cut, "Submarine
Teams")
