Bob Hutton asked about the Redwalls, who he saw at IPO as the Pages.

Their debut album came in at number 20 on my 2003 year end list. Below is my
4 sentence summary of the record from my yearend post.

REDWALLS / Universal Blues (Undertow) www.theredwalls.com
Less than two years ago they were in their teens and called the Pages and
sounded exactly like Hamburg-era Beatles. Now they comfortably shift between
the early fabs and the more relaxed feel of early 70's John Lennon, the
Faces, and a looser Traffic. Depending on your perspective, they either
steal riffs like crazy or reference their heroes frequently. The music is so
damn sincere I vote for the latter.

There are two MP3s off the album on their site, although neither of them are
one of my faves. One of the songs pinched so much of a ZZ Top riff that they
gave co-writing song credit to the bearded ones.

np: Easybeats 2nd album. It's been an Easybeats week at this household after
picking up the Complete Easybeats 6 CD boxset. Now if only somebody would
give the same respect to the Equals!
