Spoken with tongue firmly planted in cheek, of course... it was 
already too late.  As I recall, the RCA contract forbade Bill to do 
ANYTHING to promote "Feeling the Elephant" after our record-release 
party in Nashville.  (What a splendid night, however: everyone in 
town showed up, including Minnie Pearl, hat and all!)

If there are any of you don't own them all already, the Foster & 
Lloyd LPs feature some of the finest countrypop ever, especially the 
first.  It was an honor to "lose" to them.
