A hurdy-gurdy. And yes, you play it by cranking a wheel on the end.
There's a guy at NEFFA every year who makes custom hurdy-gurdys, and the
second I have a couple extra thousand dollars in pocket, I'm getting one.
One of my favorite instrumental sounds ever.
