Although I got a nasty cold from all the smoke and
yelling during my pop weekend in Seattle, I still had
the BEST TIME EVER!!!
Here's a setlist from the Posies show, first of all:

I had mixed feelings during and after the show...Ken
and Jon sounded great and their rhythm section is top
notch. Ken has added keyboards to a lot of songs now,
which is cool. He still spits an awful lot, though.
I had the weirdest feeling of not being able to really
go back...The Posies have been my favorite band since
probably 1989, I've seen them so many times I've lost
count. Although this set sounded great, I felt a
little out of it about the whole thing. Still worth
the trip, though.
The second night of my stay, Braden Blake
http://www.bradenblake.com (of Super Deluxe) had a
record release show. His new record is called "A Year
In Pajamas" and it mines a mellower territory than
Super Deluxe stuff, but it's still genius. (David
Bash has it in his tops list for 2003)
His set was preceded by many friends,
Sean Nelson (long winters/ harvey danger)
Dave Dederer (the presidents of the united states of
america)
Robb Benson (dear john letters, nevada bachelors)
John Ramberg (model rockets)
Matt Southworth (the capillaries)
Gavin Guss (the tycoons, tube top)
Every 3 song set was pure pop bliss, I was in HEAVEN
the entire time! There were a few players I didn't
know, of them, Robb Benson impressed me SO MUCH with
his vocals
