I thought I would share the sudden loss of an Audities list member
and a very dear man: Keith Queensen.
Some of you who know him may have already heard this news, via an
email from his wife Miriam. I just wanted to pass this make certain
any other relationships he may have formed, via this list are also
notified. You may check www.startribune.com obits for additional
details or to offer your sympathies. There will be a service on
Saturday.
Keith battled Leukemia last year and went through a difficult
treatment. However, he seemed to be doing well and the cancer was in
remission. When I talked with Keith he was always optimistic about
his future. However, sadly he suddenly became ill last week and was
hospitalized. He died very unexpectedly on Thursday evening 2-26th
due to a cerebral hemorrhage.
I became friends with Keith about 5-6 years ago per this list.
Keith LOVED music and had an amazing CD collection. Keith was
passionate about music with special loves for The Beatles, Badfinger
and the Hudson Brothers. Keith had been writting a book on
Badfinger, working directly with Joey Molland and his wife.
Keith was an attorney who seemed to enjoy his work.
Beyond Keith's love for music I need to express what a gentle,
ethical, and lovely man he was. I was so struck by what a wonderful
husband and father he was to his wife and two children. These are
amoung the traits I was most struck by with Keith.
My last contact with Keith was only a few weeks ago. Keith and
I had been planning on getting together but I let him know that I
needed to hold off for a while. I let him know, that our family was
suffering per my brother-in law was suddenly dieing of an aggressive
bile duct cancer. In typical fashion of Keith, he showed great
empathy, compassion, and sincerity in offering to do what ever he
could for us in our time of need. Such was Keith.
I know I am not alone in how much I will miss his friendship. Such a
loss and my best wishes to any of you who knew him.
