Hey everybody,
Arthur here reporting from IPO Nashville. I've been here since Friday and it's been a lot of fun so far. I was finally able to get to a computer and so, since I had promised a few people that I would post from here, I figure I'd check in.
I've been taking pictures (mostly of Nashville) but I have some of the bands and I will continue to take pics through tomorrow night. I unfornutately don't have a way to upload them here so I'll post a link to a gallery of them when I get home (either Tuesday night or maybe Wednesday).
I got to meet Adam McIntyre for the first time.. He played with his new band The Pinks. Really great stuff. He also played "Too Far Gone", which is one of my favorite tracks of the decade so far.
Other highlights so far include De Novo Dahl (from Nashville, they will be at IPO Chicago and I am trying to convice them to come out to L.A.) .. They really blew me away. Rich Creamy Paint was great (who I'm also trying to convince to come play some shows in L.A.) as was Wendy Ip (as always). I'm being rushed to wrap this up so other bands I've enjoyed include The Dollyrots (from L.A.), Jeremy, Verde, Stereo 360, too many to name and I don't have a schedule in front of me right now.
I'll be devoting part of next weekend's radio show to music from the bands playing here.. and I've got one more night of IPO tomorrow night and am looking forward to seeing Ross Rice, The Luxury Liners, The Hotpipes and The Privates.
If I dont get back to the computer before then, I'll post when I get back to So. Cal..
