Oh man, please take my comments in good spirit. You should stay far away from Flowers of Romance! Second Edition is his best work. For my money, it has more staying power (if not as many great songs) than the Sex Pistols' lone album. Flowers of Romance, likewise, is definitely not a mainstream version of his music:)

Elvis Costello, one of my all-time faves, has punctuated his long and varied career with 3 absolute turds, in my humble opinion: Goodbye Cruel World, Mighty Like a Turd, and All This Useless Beauty, the last 2 of which I handed over to friends on their way out the door and told them never to bring the CDs back into my house.
