back then - AM radio was the hit single arbiter...
and that original version sounded AMAZING blasting out of AM
i remember Alex the drummer actually giving me a cassette of
the genesis of what would eventually become the horn filled hit version
and suggesting we re-release it.... but the original was already entrenched
at Canadian radio & the whole radio remix thing wasn't really happening
back in 1983 (every format gets their own remix/version of a song now)...
i may have, at the time, scowled and probably said "horns!?? what??!!
it's perfect the way it is..." hahahahaaaa..... *sigh*
anyway - that original "Walking" and a SMOKIN' cover of "river deep
mountain high"
are on my Bongo Beat CD/DVD combo available everywhere.
you want weird vinyl? you want David Hemmings & The Byrds? i got
weird stuff here...
