I've complained about Revolver for years...

It's common for instruments to get 'bent' after a multitude of overdubs.
But, on "Revolver" even the piano on "Good Day Sunshine" is out of tune [and
"Tomorrow Never Knows" is just beyond tuning]. Out of all the Brit bands
from that era I thought The Beatles were the best at staying in tune (The
Who were the worst) -- "Rubber Soul" is nearly flawless -- but as the
multi-tracking started saturating the recording process there's definite
wigginess on "Revolver" and a good portion of "Sgt. Pepper".

But, that does not in anyway distract from the charm of the material.

I find it interesting that the majority of material from our upcoming
Beatles tribute (only 30 days away and counting) the acts from this very
Power Pop community stuck with the Revolver/Pepper/White Album era of
material.

Jaimie Vernon,
