If you receive this...It's cause I think you'd care to know, and
perhaps help out.
For those of you who dont know, Billy Cowsill (The Cowills/Blue
Shadows/Codependents) has been in and out of Hospital in , (more in
then out) these past few months, after a parade of injuries, Billy
underwent a hip replacement, to which there were some
complications...he's been in Hospital in Calgary for weeks now, and
they've recently had to collapse his lung as well as some other
procedures. BUT he should be out within a week or 2. Some friends of
Billy's are putting on a benefit at the Ironwood stage and grill in
Calgary on March 21/2004.(the owners Lynne/Soren/Josh who are
putting it on).
I'm trying to scrounge up a ton of swag to take out there to be
auctioned off at the event. The idea is to raise a few bucks and
take the edge off Billy a little while he recuperates. If you have
any CD's or yourself...or your artist that you may represent, and
would like to send a copy along..it'd be greatly appreciated....or
swag of any kind that you think might bring in a buck or 2. alot of
us care about Billy and every little bit helps. at the same time,
he's a proud guy...so we're trying to keep the buzz limited to those
who know and care for him...or at least his peers in the Canadian
music racket. please feel free to E-mail me at this address, or send
whatever you'd like to to the Provided address below ...it's my day
gig, and I'm a shipper...so after I compile everything, I'll courier
it right to Lynne and co. If you're In Toronto..I have a steady
sunday House gig at "The Cadillac lounge 1296 Queen street west"
from 4-7 pm. feel free to bring it by there. and it'll get to Cow-
town Post haste. I'd appreciate it if you could respond right
away...cause we're throwing the whole thing together pretty quickly.
If you'd just like to send a card...or send a card as well...please
throw it in...he'd love to get them. It's been a tuff few months.
