Kelly says:
oh, and i've heard a bit of the new american music
club and damned if it doesn't sound like they never
stopped playing together. i understand they're
putting together some kind of greatest hits comp
(which is an odd thing to think of, really)

Shawn says:

Other stuff:

It was a caller to Howard Stern's show who used the
'n' word, not the guy who schtupped Paris Hilton.
The call was taken during the interview, but it wasn't
the schtupper himself who said it.

Regarding Andrea's comment on cc-controlled venues,
here is the detail on the anti-cc tour as it will be
happening in Chicago:

AT THE LOGAN SQUARE AUDITORIUM: The Abbey Pub and
Mpshows.com Presents the 'Fuck Clearchannel Tour' with
SAGE FRANCIS with special guests, JOE BEATS (Non
Profit)- GRAND BUFFET- MAC LETHAL AND THE GIMMIE FUND
(Sage's Live Band)- Doors at 6:00pm, show at 7:00pm-
$17/Advance, $20/DOS- ALL AGES!

Interestingly, Chicago is actually a major market
where Clear Channel hasn't gotten a strong foothold on
the venue side of things. They control one club,
House of Blues, which pretty much has been considered
an overpriced, corporate venue since its beginnings
here (the occasional large indie band and some cool
old soul acts are the only reasons I ever have to go
there). I hear Clear Channel is also in the process
of inking a deal with another large venue, the
Congress Theatre, but the sound is incredibly bad
there, and the place is rat-infested. All the best
venues in the city have remained pretty true to local
promoters Jam Productions (who, interestingly, used to
be viewed as something of a corporate force, but, with
the advent of "cc entertainment," they've become the
little guys).

Feeling oddly compelled to defend the integrity of
Paris Hilton's sex partners,

--Shawn
