Subject: The Q People are coming
from the Spirithouse Records website (http://www.spirithouserecords.com/)
NRBQ has been rocking and rolling for almost thirty-five years, releasing
over 27 albums during that time. Although they have somehow escaped
mainstream success, they remain a band deeply respected by fellow musicians
and fans alike. Their impressive fan list includes Elvis Costello, Paul
McCartney, and Keith Richards. Bonnie Raitt calls them "as brilliant a band
as America has produced," and Dave Schools, of Widespread Panic, calls them
"the greatest band you never heard of."
SpiritHouse Records is proud to have gathered together a wonderful line-up
of musicians to perform some of NRBQ's greatest songs:
1. Yo La Tengo - Magnet
2. Steve Earle - A Girl Like That
3. Settie - Ridin' In My Car
4. Los Lobos - Never Take The Place Of You
5. Bonnie Raitt - Me And The Boys
6. Ware River Club - I Love Her, She Loves Me
7. Mike Mills - When Things Was Cheap
8. Ron Sexsmith - My Girlfriend's Pretty
9. J Mascis - I Want You Bad
10. Widespread Panic - Ain't No Horse
11. King Radio - Yes, Yes, Yes
12. SpongeBob SquarePants - Little Floater's Wild Weekend (audio cartoon)
The record will be released on March 9th, 2004.
