I believe Jason's point was not that Don should be not
interested in money, but that his argument is weakened
by the fact that he's saying he supports small stores,
but then did not sell his stuff to them.  I don't see
that the fact that his label did this makes all that
much difference, really - you decided to go the route
of Tool of the Man, DH, now either quityer
expostulating or put your money where your mouth is,
dammit. 

I've thought he was suspect and weird ever since i
heard he collects tanks.  Didn't he buy the Super
Furry Animals flower-painted tank and then repaint it
in its original "classic" miltary green?  I mean, for
an old hippie, that's pretty fucking weird.  Not that
there is anything wrong with wierd, per se, but it
doesn't make me want to respect your argument, even if
i fundamentally agree with it, and especially not when
you are so patently saying one thing and doing
another.
