according to my Darkness-obsessed friend, the chicago
leg of the US tour sold out in 60 seconds or something
equally hyperbolic and ridiculous. So it appears there
are enough americans who Get It to allow em to sell
out middling capacity venues in largish cities, at
least.
me, i'm all giddy and stupid about the fact that South
is playing here tomorrow night. My focus on the new
CD (released in sept. in the states) has migrated
from the instantly catchy "loosen your hold" to the
high energy-high ernest "Colours in waves." check em
out at www.south.uk.net and stream a few songs, ifn
you're liking Ride or Sunny Day Real Estate or bits of
emo and proggyness (in a variation-on-a-theme kind of
way) but with, you know, the back beat; you can't lose
it.
