Yeah, I thought that might be the case...look if you were as old as me, you
wouldn't be able to remember these details either. I actually don't know the
lyrics to the CT song, but I've got it. You got my drift anyway.

I just cringe at the arguments against rap. They are not unlike the arguments
people make against rock and roll. No I don't really buy rap records, but I find
some of it very creative. At least the music side of things... I'm not bothered
about sample based music. I only find it a thin difference between sampling and
borrowing musical ideas. We are all guilty of that. It's just a matter of getting
caught. Ask The Verve about that one.

Some one else said it... but I hear all too often, "well I still have my Osmond
records, and I still like music, EXCEPT RAP". I know you are allowed to make your
own choices, but Rap sure does get some people riled up. I don't know why. Well I
do know one reason, it's often made by very angry people, or in other cases
really stupid dudes.

There is a lot of music I don't much care for, but I try and just ignore it. If I
go spouting off about my dislikes, I'm going to look really stupid if I change
may mind. I was at the original Rhino Records shop once in 1974 (I was in LA to
see Roxy Music if you really need to know). One of those guys apparently really
hated Led Zep, but was caught very publicly digging a song. The look on his face
when he realized what he was grooving to, and the laughs all around from those
who knew how much he hated them...

Just killing time while I get motivated to start on the next project on my
desk...
