Nothing personal against Miles here, but this has been bugging me all day:
it wasn't a pasty! Pasties *cover* the nipple -- that's their job. Look
at any of the hundreds of copies of this photo that are all over the net
today: that silver starburst thing is a piece of jewelry that's attached to
her piercing, adn it's encircling her nipple but not covering it. The
nipple itself is on full display.
And given that most people who wear things in their nipples don't go around
showing them off to anyone and everyone, I'd say it's entirely likely that
she could be wearing some boob jewelry without planning on showing it to
the world.
What gets up MY nose about this is...why are all the headlines things like
"FCC to investigate Janet Jackson's breast-baring antics"? I understand
that it was her breast that was bared and all, but it was Timberlake who
did the actual ripping off of her top. Why aren't the headlines
"Timberlake to be investigated"?
What's next on the headlines, "Rape victim was asking for it"? Actually,
given the Boston Herald, that probably *is* next...
