I don't think you can firmly put the blame on Americans, Britains or any
other nationality. It purely boils down to the perceived "cool" factor.
Within our circle, what we find to be "cool" is certainly not thought so in
other circles.
I think Edgar Winter put it best:
"Well, you're cool when you don't know it, and when you know it then you
ain't." (COOL DANCE, The Edgar Winter Group With Rick Derringer, 1975)
That said, I think that the powers that be are about to push The Darkness on
the American public and it will be fun to see how the current crop of
teenage "wiggers" and shoegazers react to the "awesome onslaught" that is
The Darkness. (Tongue firmly planted in cheek.)
