But.. the Darkness *are* a joke band a la Spinal Tap - just look at their Christmas single - 'Don't let the bells end' 
could *very* easily be a Spinal Tap lyric...
And no, you shouldn't move to the UK. Mainstream tastes over here are *just* as bad as in the US, maybe even 
slightly even worse...
