But can still be annoying enough to make the joke not very funny.
Yoko has a nice body (or at least did back in the 60s), and seeing
her nude might be a turn on to some people, but if she's going to be
doing her avant garde screaming, I'm sorry, it's not worth it to my
ears to go through that aggravation just because she's standing on
stage nude while screaming. The voice DOES have a really big part to
play in it.

And no, I'm not knocking Yoko here. I happen to enjoy her songs when
she isn't screaming. There's good songwriting evident in many of
them, and she had a top notch band behind her most of the time,
especially when John, Ringo, Eric and Klaus were the backing band.
And I bet the fact that her voice annoyed you stopped you from
listening to her. It IS relevant.

If it were in fact funny, maybe we might have this "thing in our
head" but I for one don't find it the least bit amusing.

I couldn't agree more, and I'm thankful that SOMEONE finally had the
intelligence to pose a message about this topic in this manner. To
recognize that we don't all have to agree with you is much more like
what this list should be like and has been like in the past. To brow
beat someone and say they don't get it (perhaps because they're
American) or that everyone from their particular country must just
not get it because they don't like the band isn't the way to go about
this discussion. To recognize that we all like different things for
different reasons and that's ok is much more enjoyable a discussion
to have.

Sorry folks, don't mean to be ranting, but I find this thread
particularly insulting and unpleasant the way it's been handled to
this point and to finally see something along the lines of "We're
just wired up differently. Vivre la difference." was refreshing
enough for me to have to post again.

I'll shut up now.
