Thanks, Pat. I'm trying to get this thing released by summertime with any
luck. The painting I'm working on now may be the cover, depending on how it turns
out. I also hope to post all my paintings to my website soon, so you can
check them out then.
<<Rick...I've told you before (more than once) how much I love your work. Keep
it up, man! I know it's disheartening that more people aren't
listening/buying this, but hey, we all know how screwed the industry is and
how hard it is to get the average music buyer to break out of the mold.>>
I'm the worst at promoting myself, and that's probably why the last release
suffered, but this next one will hopefully be a little more visable.
<<One thing: I went to Amazon.com the other day, and in the Cloud Eleven
section O&G&Y&N is only listed as being available as an import....and the
price is $41.99. I saw that Not Lame has it for $12 (if memory serves me
correctly) and if I didn't already have it...I'd definitely buy it at Not
Lame before spending $42 at amazon. Unfortunately, the masses more than
likely don't know that NL and other pop outlets exist. The point here is...I
think it'd be rare for someone who is looking to take a chance on your tunes
to spend that much. Why isn't the US/West coast Records version available
there for a reasonable/Not Lame type price on amazon?? There's no track
listing...does it have a scad of bonus tracks or what?>>
I don't know how to get them to Amazon (I know, I'm lazy...), but they are
available at CD Baby as well as all the other familiar online outlets (Not Lame,
etc.), and my website (www.cloudeleven.com). The version of OGYN on Amazon is
the Japanese one, and it has two bonus tracks, 'Super Sun' and 'Goodbye',
which will both be on the next release, so no need to shell out big dollars for
the import.
Thanks again for all your support, Pat, and thanks to everyone else who've
posted comments lately.
Take care,
Rick Gallego
