FWIW, Im a HUGE fan of Harem Scarem/Rubber/Hess or whatever they feel like calling themselves. Each of their albums sounds different from the last (barring the two similar Rubber releases). Personally, I thought Weight Of The World was quite good and had more than it's share of power pop on it, but their latest, Higher is the business for me. From start to finish it's a nice mix of their Rubber-y power pop and their arena rock of their early days.

I will admit though that their Japanese label goes a long way towards ripping off the fan with one best of release after another, always adding the one "new" tune.

For all intents and purposes Harem Scarem are less a band and more of a
corporation. The fans buy their product, the labels pay their advances, and
the guys get to continue living very comfortable lifestyles.

Call it whatever you want....these guys turned a nasty media image into a
goldmine.
