I'd suggest bringing a laptop, and while in your hotel, visiting Not Lame.
Just kidding. Greenwich Village. Thompson, Bleeker, and Sullivan Streets.
And West 3rd Street. All these are clustered together; the first three
cross the fourth. Remember to go north of Sixth Avenue on Bleeker (this'll
make more sense when you get here. And What we call "Sixth Avenue," the
signs call "Avenue of the Americas." No one calls it that.

Subject: Power pop records stores in NYC
Hi. I'll go to NYC in a few weeks. It's my first trip to the US and I'll
have a whole week to explore the city. Besides visiting museums and all that
I'd like to buy some music, but I don't know any record store there. If
anyone recommends me a couple of stores I'd be thankful.
I've been also trying to find a website to see if any band is playing there
in those days. I've found many for Chicago but nothing for NYC. Does anyone
know where can I get this info?
Another thing I'd like to find is a good comic books store, just in case
anyone knows...
Carolina
