I don't think I've posted this here before, but I apologize if I have and
have forgotten.
I'm looking for acts to play in the library (yes, the library) in conjuction
with Spoleto USA and Piccolo Spoleto (www.spoletousa.org and
www.piccolospoleto.com). These would possibly need to be semi-unplugged or
turned-down-some gigs, but we have had full blues bands in for the
Lowcountry Blues Bash, so we're open to suggestions (www.bluesbash.com).
Artists from within driving distance of Charleston SC would be prefered, as
our budget for this year will probably only stretch to cover travel
expenses. You can merchandise, which is a change from the policies of most
libraries.
On the plus side, we've got a great PR department and can probably help you
hook up with a paying club gig in town (that's the formula that works well
for the Blues Bash).
Oh yeah, it's during May/June in Charleston, and the venue is 10 minutes
from the beach.
