Their rockers were real stinkers.
Hmmm, I can't agree there. I thought "Mother Freedom and "Let Your Love Go"
were solid rockers as well as excellent choices as singles, and "Don't Shut
Me Out," "Been Too Long On The Road" and "Blue Satin Pillow" were among
Bread's better album cuts. Many of the rockers were written by Jimmy
Griffin and Robb Royer, and apparently they were none too happy about
Elektra's tendency of picking the Gates ballads as singles.
