I know Bill Nelson did some work with A Flock Of Seagulls.  I'd assume that 
he contributed to Reynolds's development as a guitarist.  My favorite 
example of his work is on "Space Age Love Song" -- great leads and those big 
warm chords (which Gary Numan was doing on the REPLICAS album, too).
