Barry,
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but your post reads as being unnecessarily glib,
sarcastic, and mean. No, Emitt Rhodes didn't have any Top 40 hits and he'll
never make the Rock 'n Roll Hall Of Fame, but he recorded and sang a lot of
beautiful, timeless music with The Merry-Go-Round and as a solo artist, and
had a profound influence on several songwriters and vocalists throughout the
years, many of whom continue to communicate the legacy of Rhodes and many
other equally forgotten songwriters of his time.
