It's not only completely shot, but no longer discernibly English. The M.Score+journeymen edition of A Flock of Seagulls performed on the G4 awards show (G4ia?) last year, and at first I thought it had to be a joke, because the guy singing looked and sounded like an American WWF fan fronting a bunch of metal has-beens. I was shocked to find out that the singer was actually Mike Score!
Bassist Frank Maudsley sounded pretty good in rehearsal when he was singing the lead vocal part while working with guitarist Paul Reynolds (who was on fire at the show, despite his struggles and long layoff) to get the timing down. If they wanted to continue, maybe Frank should sing instead of Mike.

I'd put Berlin first (finally saw that one when it repeated Friday) of the ones that have aired, but yeah, the Kajagoogoo boys far exceeded my next-to-nil expectations. I think they benefitted from (1) no studio gloss, and (2) Limahl's voice having a deeper, grittier texture than in his Boy Wonder Warbling days.
Don't know if I'll watch the Extreme episode tonight -- with Kajagoogoo being far more fun and high-quality than I expected, they're left as the only bastion of outright suckage in this initial run of episodes...
later,
Miles
