See Jim Derogatis is hot and cold for me.He seems to hate a lot of the pop
music I love but then he'll turn around and rave about groups like
Outrageous Cherry and Gradaddy[his album of the year].This past Sunday he
gives three and a half stars to both of the new Poster Children and Air
albums. He's a critic-you take what you can from him.One thing he does that
is cool is the radio show "Sound Opinions " every Tuesday night with Greg
Kott [of the Chicago Tribune].It's two hours and they are all over the rock
and roll map.It will piss you off sometimes. But I've found it essential
listening just for the information and retrospectives.I tape it and play it
in my car-it's become a ritual. The show is actually on PBS-a half hour
version. But I assume that is only in Chicago.
