A little off topic, but not by much, a few years ago, Glenn Tilbrook
recorded a tune called "Down In The Valley," in honor of his hometown
football club, Charlton Athletic.
They were selling it on the Domino tour in 1998. I think you can still order
it on import.

Squeeze guys?), Elvis Costello's "Town Crier" contains what I have assumed
is an American football reference, the "I'm a little down with a lifetime to
go" line. Or maybe that's a rugby reference??? I have no idea how that game
works.
