OK, so I just read my own post and realized I need to finish it.
Yes, I am a Candy Butchers fan and have been since TTYD and La Bonbonniere.
The thing I am liking about the new CD is the...honesty? sincerity? reality? of
it. Instead listening to it with decoder ring on hand, I can know what he is
singing about and it makes me appreciate it more. Refreshing.
Other quick notes- I am also a BIG Marshall Crenshaw fan (can it really be
almost 20 years?) and this past release did not make much of a dent for me. I
was really looking forward to having a copy of a song called Home that I had
heard him play a few times live, but the recorded version did not do it justice
in my mind.
