Hey All-
Just wanted to echo Michael Carpenter's well written sentiments and send a
thank you out to the Audities crew for all the support in 2003. Really
appreciate those of you who picked up the "Milkshake" and listened, enjoyed,
sent nice notes or wrote generous reviews. Trying to make a go of the music
in a 'commercial' sense is most times a disparaging road so it's always
great to know that there are people out there who ARE listening and who DO
truly enjoy what you do.
Saw talk about Marshall Crenshaw's latest and as I've always been a big fan
I have to say I'm happy whenever Marshall gives us a new record but I too
have to admit that this one falls a little short for me. I don't find
myself wanting to go back to it like his other records. Maybe it's all the
down tempo stuff but it just feels kind of tired?
On a more positive note though, I think it's a beautifully recorded and
sounding record and in my book even a 'tired' Crenshaw record is still an
enjoyable listen.
Best,
Mark Bacino
