I took the bait this year on two releases that appeared on many lists. One
success ,the other a failure. Picked up 1972 by Josh Rouse. Wonderful CD.
Seals and Crofts my ass! The second song, Love Vibration, is a dead ringer
for the great Stephen Duffy/Lilac Time (whose Keep It Going was one of
2003's highlights). The rest of the album is fab, maybe the fave on my
imaginary top 20, though Kimi would probably be high as well. At the other
end of the spectrum is Rooney. Not bad, but pretty dull overall. I am
flabbergasted that anyone could even list this in a top-100. Other than
"Sorry, Sorry," very unremarkable. Oh well, there's no accounting for taste,
including mine.

Mark

NP: Ike-Parallel Universe. Second listen. Much better than Caulfields and
JFPT in my opinion, not that they were bad...
