Wow, flashback...!!!!!  I remember precisely one thing about that book, and it's haunted me ever since.  After a kid delivered a telegram (I think), he asked for a tip.  A Monkee (I can't remember which one) said, "Don't tie your shoelaces together before a long hike."  Now, every time tipping is discussed, I always think of that...
