I saw the original ELO three times, and they were just awful. The first time
was ok, but then it just became a joke to them, and wasn't very good at all.
The first time they played in LA, Greg Shaw and Marty Cerf told them they
had to play Do Ya. They thought no one would know a B side, but played it
anyway. You can't believe the look of Jeff Lynne's face when the whole
Hollywood Palladium sang along from the first chord. I thought he was going
to faint. A great moment in rock and roll. The Move were 100 times better
live. I did enjoy ELO's music, though it would be great to hear those songs
just played with a four piece. That recent live concert was pretty good.
Probably better than they sounded in the 70's.

They got together for the Epitaph Live comp release. Fripp apparently left
them all waiting while he did an interview, and then walked out without
saying good-bye. Greg Lake made it clear he would never work with him again.
The others did a few gigs as Schizoid Men, with Jakko on guitar. Might have
been Peter Giles on bass though. Don't hold your breath for this one.
