~~~~i guess the phonetic pronunciation of my last name
finally has borne fruit in that i prefer the cher
version to the luxury liners version by leaps and
bounds. (my tongue is FIRMLY planted in my cheek,
people.)
seriously, though. there IS a song there. but i just
think my pop can come in different colors. whether it
be pop in the form of pretty hate machine or pop in
the form of green day or pop in the form of the
beatles or pop in the form of semisonic or pop in the
form of outkast or pop in the form of 80's hair metal
(see: poison and def leppard) or pop in the form of
big star... it's all pop. for me, i love to talk about
it and sing it and dance to it...but ultimately, it
comes down to that vague: i know it when i hear it.
cher is all right by me.
