Fellow auditeer Rene and I saw Dramarama reunited at the spacious new
Starland Ballroom in the wilds of Central Jersey last Saturday night.
I guess that spoils the surprise for the upcoming VH-1 episode, yes,
Dramarama did reunite at the behest of the cable network. But at the packed
show Saturday, it was only a mini-reunion with original members John Easdale
and Peter Wood joined by musicians from the band "No Soap Radio".
Having never seen them before, I can't compare how they were in comparison to
their heyday, but John must have taken acting classes, he's very expressive
on stage. I particularly enjoyed the songs I knew, "Anything,
Anything", "Scenario", "Last Cigarette" and especially "Haven't Got a Clue".
They played for two hours!
Openers included Stereosoul and Billionaire Boys Club, both playing to larger
audiences than usual.
See ya,
Sherman
